For the last five years, Amaro has been the hottest ingredient in the craft cocktail movement. A bitter sweet liqueur from Italy, it has been traditionally treated as a before dinner drink to stimulate the appetite, or after dinner as a digestive aid. However, many amari make fantastic additions to classic cocktails.
During this class, we will taste ten different amari, and talk about their flavors, as well as discuss other important liqueurs from arond the world. We will also make two different amaro-based cocktails.
